Your Personal Trainer….
I’ve said it plenty of times: I have the best job in the world! I love working with our clients and teaching them how to perform better – whether it be to increase their vertical jump, shave bodyfat, or simply how to prep their food for the week. As a personal trainer, there’s no better feeling than working with a client and seeing them push themselves beyond what they thought they could handle.
In the past few years I’ve helped multiple clients lose 15+ pounds, along with training three female clients to power clean triple digit numbers. More importantly, I believe I’ve made an impact with each client by showing them the proper way to work out while avoiding extreme diet fads.
I have a Master’s Degree in Performance Physiology, a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, and am a certified Precision Nutrition coach. It’s been a few years since my days at Eastern Michigan, but I’m constantly striving to evolve and learn more. Whether it be about strength training or how to do a better radio interview, I try to set a good example for my clients by always trying to improve.
Your Nuts and Bolts…
Yes, being married to a personal trainer has its perks, but co-owning a training studio has taken things to a whole new level. While Marc handles the training and nutrition, I help out with the marketing materials and website design (hope you like it). I work during the day as a computer programmer, but Marc and I just seem to jell well when it comes to running the studio.
Sometimes it’s tough to have your husband walk you through a workout (it’s easier to argue with him 🙂 ) but I can see improvements in Marc’s training programs and philosophy over the years. And the results are pretty awesome – I’m proud to be able to deadlift 225 pounds at a bodyweight of 136 along with dropping 2% bodyfat!
We live in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Of course, we love to workout but there’s more to us than that. We have a beautiful infant daughter that we love spending time with, along with a two year old Greyhound mix who keeps us pretty busy.
Marc loves good spy novels along with the latest superhero movie. He’d like to go to the movies more often, but his annoying yard work keeps him pretty busy. Liz likes mellowing out with scrapbooking and doing fancy stuff on the computer.
